Dr Olson is the BEST! Love all the staff too!
Dr. Olson and his staff are phenomenal. Each of them has a love for animals that engenders trust in their care of your fur family. Dr. Olson spends time explaining every recommendation and symptom and explains all treatment options and answers all of my numerous questions. He calls us personally to discuss test results. His staff call back when they say they will, call to check on our pets after we bring them in for an issue and wait on all customers in a pleasant and sensitive manner. Fees are explained before and after procedures and for regular visits. They are willing to work with us to help us save money on prescriptions and give practical advice to help people on a budget. We have been patients for 11 years and have trusted 3 dogs and 4 cats to their care. I am willing to answer questions about the practice and will answer based on our experience. This review is unsolicited. UPDATE all of this is still true except now it's been 18 years that we've been trusting our furbabies to Dr Olson and Amclare and 5 dogs and now 6 cats because my son brings his furbabies there.
Totally recommend Amclare Veterinary the doctor and staff are awesome and they truly care for your pets. They've been taking care of my dogs for over 18+ years.
We were loyal clients for over 24 years and truly believed the veterinarian cared about our pets as much as we did. Unfortunately, that trust ended when our dog was bitten by a bee and his face began swelling rapidly. We live just two minutes from the office and rushed over, but were refused care and told to go to the emergency vet instead — even warned to “hurry because his airways could be closing.” It was disappointing to say the least that after so many years, compassion seemed to take a back seat to convenience and profit. If you’re looking for consistent care and a practice that can handle urgent situations, consider finding an office with more than one vet that doesn’t overbook. For those clients that have posted positive reviews, I hope your pet never has a life threatening emergency like our dog did, because he will not help you even if minutes matter!!
